Where Learning, Life Skills, and Faith Come Together in Springfield, Georgia

Built on purpose. Open to all.

Nestled on 35 acres in Springfield, Georgia, The Onyx is a regional community campus where education, practical life skills, and ministry come together to strengthen individuals, families, and communities.

The Onyx is a place where people of all ages learn, connect, and serve. Through education programs, life-skills workshops, community partnerships, and family-centered events, we create opportunities that help every generation flourish.

Our Mission

To create a thriving community by bringing together Christian education, practical life-skills, and ministry in one place—equipping families and future generations to flourish.

Three Pillars

  • Education: Growing minds through Christian education, experiential learning, and lifelong discovery.

  • Life Skills Development: Equipping children and adults with practical skills that build confidence.

  • Community Ministry: Creating opportunities to serve, connect, and encourage one another.

The Campus

At The Onyx, every space is designed with purpose. The property includes a 1,900 sq. ft. multipurpose community hall, a 5,000 sq. ft. residence with gathering spaces, a one-room school, and a large expanse of land with stocked ponds, gardens, and farm animals.

Every part of the campus is designed to be used—from classrooms and gardens to gathering spaces and ponds. It's a place where children learn, nonprofits serve, families gather, entrepreneurs teach, and neighbors build lasting relationship.

A Place for Community

Something meaningful is always in season here.

The campus is alive with students and lifelong learners. Faithful Roots Schoolhouse children learn to care for farm animals and learn science in the open air. Members of the Effingham County and greater southern Georgia community can rent spaces for offsite meetings, executive retreats, workshops, training, ministry, and more.

Whether it’s a curated market or a milestone celebration, The Onyx comes to life with people at the heart of it all.

Make an Impact

The Onyx is not a check written into the void. It’s a campus you can walk and a legacy that will outlast all of us. Every gift goes directly into the land, the programming, and the people this place serves.

“The Onyx Manor brings people together around ideas, around tables, and around purpose, so that what’s built here strengthens individuals, and by extension, our community.”
